These 75mm round cast iron downpipes sit right in the middle of the range, and for a lot of traditional domestic rainwater systems that makes them a very sensible choice.
They’re bigger than the 65mm pipe, but still neat enough that they don’t look oversized on a normal house elevation.
Also known as 3-inch cast iron downpipes, they’re commonly used with cast iron guttering on period homes, renovations, extensions and other properties where you want to keep the rainwater system properly in keeping with the building.
We stock the matching bits too, so you can build the full run rather than just buying the straight pipe and then hunting around for the rest. That includes bends, offsets, brackets, shoes and other fittings, depending on how the pipe needs to get from the gutter outlet down to ground level.
If your roof feeds into a hopper first, take a look at our cast iron hoppers. And if you’re still working out which gutter profile and size you need above it, our main cast iron guttering page is the best place to start.
One thing worth checking before you order: if you’re replacing an old pipe, actually measure it. Older cast iron systems are not always quite as straightforward as they look, and a pipe that appears to be 75mm from the ground may turn out to be another size once measured properly.
